Symbolism?

Hillary Clinton's pick to win horse racing's Kentucky Derby, Eight Belles — the only female horse in the race — finished second, broke both front ankles, and subsequently was put to death on the track. The first place horse was "Big Brown." Go nuts.

I certainly hope so. (If Eight Belles is the campaign. Much as I've come to hate Hillary, I don't actually want to see her killed on a racetrack.)

Poor horse, though.

Meanwhile, my Internet connection sucks again. I wonder what's wrong this time? (Cables are fairly new, so that shouldn't be the problem. Probably an ISP issue.)

	Well the thing is, in eight years or so service, I have never actually lost my Internet connection. It can be infuriatingly slow (like it is now), but I can still read email, check LiveJournal, etc. So I'm in touch with the outside world, I just can't watch videos, play WoW, or generally do things that require more than dial-up speeds. 	EarthLink is an independent ISP. However, Time Warner owns the monopoly on the physical hard cable lines, so Earthlink has to rent that from them. They're a great ISP, though, I had them when I lived with Liz and back at 135th St. Would've gotten them here but they don't serve this area. (Reply to this)(Parent)

	Whoever may have picked her, she was a beautiful, gallant horse and her death was absolutely hideous. Clinton's campaign may deserve that but Eight Belles sure didn't. I know, you never meant that she did. I'm just mourning a bit, since the subject came up. (Reply to this)(Thread)
